The Critical Difference Between Conventional Insulated Glass and
Seismic Resistant Insulated Glass

Conventional insulated glass has a rigid structure, causing seismic stress to concentrate
at the glass corners during building movement, leading to immediate breakage,
secondary injury risks, and substantial post event maintenance costs.

Daeyoung seismic resistant insulated glass, however, uses a flexible sliding mechanism
to absorb 100% of building vibration energy. By eliminating the root cause of breakage,
it ensures lasting safety without additional maintenance costs.

for Maximum Durability
Daeyoung Glass rounds all four glass corners by at least 5mm
to create clearance from the frame and distribute pressure evenly. By precisely rounding the glass corners, where stress first concentrates during an earthquake and commonly causes breakage, the risk of damage is fundamentally prevented.

Our proprietary cushioning packing, which functions like an automotive damper, is tightly inserted between the frame and the glass. Instead of remaining rigid, the glass slides flexibly in

We have completely resolved the critical issue of conventional window systems bending or deforming under strong external pressure. Special load-bearing reinforcement technology applied inside the frame prevents twisting and keeps the entire system secure even under extreme wind loads and external pressure.
